How to Full Flash Samsung Galaxy S II Phone
This guide will guide you and give you the ability to flash your Galaxy S II phone in the latest version of a custom ROM.
1. Make a backup
In case of emergency, use Titanium Backup it is always advisable to backup important information . You can also backup your SMS and calls using: SMS backup and restore, call backup and restore .
2. Download the flash tool
– Kies2.0.1: Download. (For the best USB driver)
– ClockworkMod Recovery (v4.0.0.2): Download.
– Odin (Flash software): Download.
3. Let's flash
– To flash a custom recovery, you need to enter the Mod download, but before that you need to make sure your device is in USB debugging mode: Settings -> Applications -> Development -> USB Debugging.
– Boot into download mode: Press and hold the volume down (-) + home + power button.
– A warning message appears. Turn up the volume to accept.
– Extract “Odin3-v1.85.zip”.
– Connect the Galaxy S II to the computer using a USB cable.
– Wait a few seconds for Odin to show that your device is connected.
– “Auto Reboot” and “F. Reset Time” in Odin .
– Press the "PDA" button and select the "GT-I9100_ClockworkMod-Recovery_4.0.0.2.tar" file.
– Press the Magical button "Start".
– Now ODIN flashes the recovery and the device reboots.
– Congratulations recovery has been installed.
4- flash ROM
-"Forum.xda-developers" has a lot of ROMs, download your favorite ROMs.
– Choose your ROM carefully and place the zip file in the root of your SD card.
– ClockworkMod Recovery: Boot with Volume Up + Home + Power buttons.
– Select an option from the recovery menu. Data deletion / factory reset. Confirm with "Yes" and then delete the cache partition as well .
– Return to the main interface of recovery mode.
-Select “Install zip from sdcard”. after that "Select zip code on sdcard” .
– Select the ROM zip file from the list and confirm the installation by pressing the power button.
– When the installation is complete, you will be returned to the main interface of recovery mode.
-And select "Please reboot system" .
– If the system boots properly, you have successfully flashed the ROM.
